2014 Hyundai Sonata

Asked by GuruL4CKL Mar 18, 2019 at 06:36 AM about the 2014 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T Limited FWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Thinking of buying a 2014 Sonata Limited 2.0 Turbo that is
new, 250 miles.  Somehow got lost on lot in shuffle.  They
want 18000.  Will honor 10 year/100000 mile warranty.  Any
thoughts? Thinking of offering 16000

First, don't believe the story about a shuffle. Car dealers keep track of their cars like jailers do inmates. I'd suspect this car came from the manufacturer, or it might be a fake. Have another mechanic check it to verify that it is indeed new; it's easy for a trained eye to detect from inspecting for wear. If this is a genuine, honest car, I go along with your $16,000. This car if used in great shape with low miles would be $11,000 and it's five year portion of the warranty would be over..... We used to have a Chevy dealership in the family and I've been involved with cars for a LOT of years. I've never seen this happen before.

Thank you....it sounded like bs to me also. I have decided to steer clear of this deal since it sounds a little fishy. I'm going with a new Chevrolet Cruze lt hatchback. Got a great deal with an included 20 year/200000 mile powertrain warranty. Staying away from the Hyundai dealer
