rear window defroster

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I put on my rear window defroster only the top two lines seems to defrost.  Is this
repairable or do I need a new rear window?  Please help

It's repairable, you should never replace a window ($$$) just to repair a dead defroster. Most auto parts stores sell rear defogger repair kits. The trick is usually finding the break in the grid that zaps out most or all of the defogger. HTH. -Jim
