rear end noise 2014 silverado 4wd
rear in thunking noise. dealer replace a left axle and now says the noise is normal. It
didn't do it when I bought it in January and they have tried to fix a problem that is now
normal? I think they are trying to pull a fast one. What do I do to find the problem.
Did they check the rider bearing, if you have a split shaft, they will do this all so,if your,s has it.
hanger bearing i ment to say
It could be the torsion bar bushings, had a similar problem on a Tahoe, some how the bolts that hold the bars in place loosened up and it would make a thump just as you started to move, no matter how slow you tried to take off, tighten all of the rear end bushing bolts and the noise went bye bye. They still have to honor the warranty, if they start to give you the run around contact the factory rep for your area.
