OK jane. I did research and there really is no "true" 2014.5 as for paperwork for DMV or insurance or anything else. The 2014-1/2 or 2014.5 is nothing more than a selling tool, a number Toyota gave salespeople to use to sell the next line of cars in Feb. 2014, too soon to call a 2015 when the real 2014's had already been in showrooms for months. Toyota puts the date of manufacture on the sticker on the chassis where driver's door latches, with VIN and tire information and such. Check that. http://www.southerncalifornia.buyatoyota.com/en/offers/camry/index.page?gclid=CNi6q5eInsECFQ9cfgodtF4AmQ

If you have an Entune Plus radio and backup camera as standard equipment on your sticker you have a 2014.5 Camry!
