I have a new 2014 f-150 fx4 5.0 and last week when the Arizona temperature got over 100 degrees, it started to excessively crank beyond normal. It continues to do it sporadically and will not do it when it is cold or less degrees out side. The dealer can't fix it. Can you help??
Try checking the coolant fluid If full try a new thermostat and radiator cap
Try cycling the ignition before starting it. Turn the key to the run position but don't try to start it. Wait 5 seconds, then turn the ignition off and then immediately try to start it. If it fires right up the fuel system is losing pressure. HTH. -Jim
Thanks Jim. Your answer makes real sense and I will tell the dealer to check that....I hope they will listen.
You're welcome. Glad to help. Thank you for the best answer click. -Jim
