If others are having the same problem then there is a possible magnetic field that disrupts certain RF frequencies, also some buried power lines could be generating a field of disruption, overhead transmission lines can block RF, any large cable dishes, cell towers or radio transmitters close by? If it is a concern you might get in touch with the FCC and see what they have to say about it. I lived in an area that GPS would not work, the signals were dampened by some metals in the ground, it effected an area of about 2500 by 3000 foot diameter area, compasses also would not work there, they would just spin the needle.
