These vehicles have a big problem with a plastic bushing on the shifter cable breaking, look underneath from the drivers side and check the shifter cable if it's just hanging there you can get the repair kit in the HELP line at most parts stores, I hope this helps, Take care.

I can push over ride button and take it out of park and shift that way but a real pain
