Over heat

I changed my water pump and
thermostate. Before burping it blew out
cold air. After burping it blows out got
air with cap off. When I put the cap
back on it over heats

Doesn't matter if it blows cold or hot air, keep burping it until it removes all the air. Make sure the thermostat is put in the right way as well.
