Traction Control/Electronic Stability Control

Asked by Mike Apr 19, 2018 at 09:25 PM about the 2014 Chrysler 300 S RWD

Question type: General

Does anyone out there know how
to turn off the Traction Control and
the ESC on my 2014 Chrysler 300s?
I have tried every which way I can
think off or have seen on youtube
and nothing seems to work. The
traction control button shuts the TC
off with 1 push but it still will not
allow the car to do a donut or slide
around a turn because the ESC
kicks in and locks up the front
brakes to correct the sliding. I have
tried holding the TC button in for 5
seconds, 8 seconds, 10seconds, 15
seconds. I have tried with the car
running and car off in park,
neautral, and drive. I have tried with
the ignition on accessory mode
and in the run position with car not
running. It has to be something I'm
not doing right or at least that's
what I hope. Please help! Thanks

Did you read the owners manual? Most if not all cars these days won't allow you to turn it off completely.

Yes nothing in owners manual! Owners manual does not even mention the Traction control button. In the actual book or in the DVD owners manual.

Your abs sensors control your tc pull your ABS fuse buT beware you will now have old school brakes so if you hit them hard they will lock up. Be careful!!!! Oh if your gonna be going down lots of hills careful not to boil your brake fluid.
