NEED SOME INFORMATION
JUST WONDERING IF SOMEONE WILL ANSWER MY WHEELS AND RIM
QUESTION? I WANT TO PUT WIRE WHEELS ON MY CAR IS THIS AN OPTION OR
CAN I ONLY PUT HUBCAPS?
What??? There are so many "after market" custom wheel options out there, start looking online. Hub caps? are you serious! They don't use hub caps anymore, most cars are alloy wheels.
There are companies that still make wire wheels. Problem is the Chrysler 300 is a heavy car and it will be difficult to do. I think that your best bet would be to find a manufacturer of reproduction wire wheels from cars like the older Caddy's or Oldsmobile's, even going to the 16 cylinder. cars of the 30's and 40's, Then you will have to change the suspension so that the car can handle the less efficient wire wheels.
I just looked at one of my model cars that I built, it's a 1953 Buick Skylark, it has wire wheels in chrome or nickel. as well as knock off hubs. I think if you look this car up and look at it you may find it is just what the doctor ordered. Good luck
The Skylark convertible!
New type wire wheels are just wire center inserts on a chrome wheel they look the same & are stronger.
I'm a purist!
OK then you're SOL !
Let's not get nasty here. Live and let live. If you want to be right, it's an opinion, you have yours and I have mine.
