2014 Dodge Charger R/T AWD will not Change to RWD
My car seems to stay in AWD none stop it
use to Switch from RWD to AWD when
temperature drops to 40 degrees or lower.
But it's been in the 50's and 60's. It's been
dry out but it's still in AWD anyone got any
info please help.
That is stange that it is temperature specific, it shouldn't be. Here is what Dodge says about the system....."Sensing road conditions, Dodge Charger’s AWD system smoothly and seamlessly shifts between rear-wheel drive and AWD as needed—no driver intervention required. When AWD is not required, the system automatically disconnects the front axle to maximize fuel economy. AWD can also be driver-selected by moving the shift lever into the AutoStick mode (+/-) or activating the windshield wipers for an extended period. Drive mode, RWD or AWD, is momentarily displayed in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center in the driver’s display."
Are you driving in the Autostick mode?
I have used the manual mode but i shift usally just use auto but in auto it usally shits back and forth depending on road conditions and temperature.
