I had this battery drain problem years ago on a Marquis - there was a bleed somewhere in the electrical system that I never found (even after hours of trying to pin it down) Car started, ran but if it sat for a couple of days the battery went dead. I solved the problem by putting a switch right at the neg battery line up by the battery and I popped hood and threw switch when ever I left the car. Problem solved and I also like to think that any auto thief would wonder why he couldn't start the car if he hot wired it at the steering column!
Or, you could try to fix the problem correctly so you don't have to switch the battery on and off. If you have checked all the fuses and nothing fused is drawing a significant amount of power, you need to look at the circuits that do not go through the fuse box like the ALTERnator and the ignition. I DOUBT you want to live with a shut-off switch in your CorvettE.
i would like to fix the problem not use a charger or disconect. autozone checked the battery alternator and starter
of oourse you want to fix the problem BUT finding the bleed means checking every piece of wire in the car until you find the open circuit and some stuff is hidden behind and in places you won't even find. keep looking fot the drain and good luck to you. All it takes is a bare slit of wire on a positive line to drain the battery.
COmmon battery drain problems include faulty brake light switch. Easy to tell when the brake lights won't shut off. Also, the interior light timer that allows the lights to stay on after you get out and close the door and then shuts them off slowly. This controller goes out and the lights stay on. The next morning, dead battery. Just some ideas...
