hello i am looking to purchase some wheels staggered wheels for my frs and was wondering what is the maximum width of the wheels
It really depends on the height and camber that you are running. You can do out to 18x8.75 front and 18x9.5" if you are running +42 to +45 offset with some camber. Probably a 245 front and 265 rear tire.
You can go as wide as the wheel wells & tie rods permit. You can always tub-it-out & or use spacer plates. Some people just bang out the inner wheel wells a bit. I rolled back the fender "lip" once on a Mazda rotary truck to run big Michelins. Body shops have a sheetmetal tool for that.
My sb 4-6" lowered 1990 Chevy p/u had 255X50X17 up front & 275X50X17 on the rear on 7X17" & 10X17 wheels. With a lowering kit, C notch, & axial flip.
