Just bought 2014 GMC Acadia. Within 48 hours, transmission clunked twice and stopped accelerating but the RMPs would rev. Dealership says it needs new gasket and seal. Less than 30K miles. Should I epect more transmission problems if I keep the vehicle or is this a fluke minor issue? Should I keep the SUV or return it for refund?
A trans problem with that low mileage is almost unheard of unless it has been severely abused, I would be extremely wary of this rig unless you can get all of the service records and car- fax, even then you still may want to take it to a place that does used car check overs, if you are still interested in this rig it would be money well spent as independent shops don't have any affiliation with dealerships so you will get an honest report. Most everyone on this site recommends a used car check before buying any vehicle.
