Temperature guage continues to rise
I have a 2014 GMC Acadia in which the temperature guage
continues to rise when we are driving in town traffic.
Meaning we are running at a slower speed and stopping
for lights periodically. The temp guage rises from the
normal 210 to the next 2 or 3 lines up. We have chamged
the radiator, radiator fans, thermostat, water pump,
temperature sensor and still continues to rise. We have
bled all the air out.
At low speeds, are the fans running. Fans run by default when the AC is on. Check that. Turn on the AC and see if they run. If they do, you probably just have a defective engine coolant temperature sensor. If they don't, you have a blown fuse or relay, defective fan clutch or wiring, bad fan temperature switch, or bad fan motors.
