do all of it works off electric????

Yes. The entire cluster is electronic. If you can access one of the High-End scan tools, you'll be able to diagnose a cluster concern in just a few minutes. Cluster failures are not uncommon. In our fleet, we changed 3 last year.

I found out from frod that u cant get a new cluster u will need to get one from the scrap yard n it MUST by a 2006 that is what the ford parts guy told me

The Ford Parts Guy doesn't know much then. Probably just some clown they hired off of the street to look up stuff on the computer. No. You can only buy refurbished clusters. Contact a Speedo shop or a more knowledgeable Ford parts guy. Motorcraft should have something. I'll have to ask our parts guys - I replaced 3 last year. We have a fleet of 800+ Crown Vics that are 2006 to 2008 mostly. Like I said - whoever you contacted only knows what he's able to look up on the Ford Computer.

Common problem with these instrument clusters. They can be repaired for both the intermittent gauges and odometer dark or very dim. Google mrwhizard for more info.
