My motor got a little ticking noise to it when it warms up. could it be a loose valve, or do i need a motor?
Hard to say without hearing it. Have someone local have a look at it.
Like Tom said, if the noise is on the top like under a valve cover it could be an HLA, check your oil level, if it is low and almost time to change it, change it now an add 1 quart of Marvel Mystery Oil with the new oil, if anything will help that will, how ever it my be too far gone for anything to help.
It isn't unusual to have exhaust manifold studs break. Especially the the last three (nearest the firewall) on either side. I've had to do a few.
Have you changed the oil lately?
