Change my tire size..
I have 2014 mercedes e 350 amg kit with different sizes of
tires, the size of front tire is 245 35 19 and the size of rear
tire is 275 30 19.
My questions is can I change this size to 245 40 19 and
275 35 or any other size, is there any problem?
Most of those kit were very specific on the size of tire you could fit under them, both of the tires you want to put on are slightly taller so you may encounter clearance problems, a good tire dealer should be able too tell you if they will clear or not. This is very critical so get professional help with this, measurements will have to be made.
Check with Mercedes first to see if changing the size will mess with the traction control and ABS systems. Some vehicles are very picky about tire size and tire size differences front to rear.
Bare in mind that changing the wheel size will make the speedometer give false readings because the speedo is specifically calibrated to the standard wheel and tyre combination. There are websites where you can input your original tyre size, tell it what size wheels you're changing to and it will tell you what size tyres you need to fit for minimal speedo error.
