The display on my 2014 ford edge only shows in trip 1 or trip 2 and the car diagram displays nothing, lights on, etc. whats up with that

Asked by Mar 30, 2014 at 11:07 AM about the 2014 Ford Escape SE

Question type: General

I am trying to understand why there is no basic display screen.  When I am driving around town, I don't need to see the miles elapsed on the trip in the largest font and everything else miniscule at the bottom of the dash.  On my 2013 escape the car diagram show the lights on doors open, etc and the dash display has a main screen that show whatever feature you want or displays it split in 4 to see direction, distance to empty, MPG, time elapsed.

You might be able to switch it, did you look in the owners manual?
