Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 ford ford taurus 3.0l ohv. It all started
with a gas smell and it would stall out and due and
when I would try to fire it back up it would have a
dead battery instantly after dieing. I found the gas
smell proplem turned out to be a crack in the elbow
on the fuel pump assembly. But it still stalls out
and dies with a dead battery plus it was pulling no
circuit and circuit malfunction codes for o2
sensors battery light would come on and go off
well had the alternator texted in the car come back
bad then I pulled it out and tested it hot and it
came back good every time so I put a new battery
in it ran like a champ redid all the battery cables
and terminals well after about a week it dies again
same thing got a jump fired up no proplem drive it
home then out of no where going down the
highway all my gauges went out transmission went
out of gear started running like crap again tho7ght
it was ecm so bought a new one put it in perfect no
proplems just a lean code then battery light come
back on after about 15 minutes it shuts off then
my rpm gauge drops but it's still running then it
starts surging real bad and dies tried to start it
back up and battery is dead but the battery light
wasn't on when it died. I need help with this guys
I'm at a loss
