Car not starting, one click

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the battery in a 2014 chevy cruze ltz, prior to this everything
worked fine and the car started. after installing new battery the car will not
strat when push button is pressed, the car clicks once, radio, headlights etc
all come on and the green start light is on but the car does not start/run. I did
accidently hit the + termnial with the wrench while tightening the negative,
not sure if that may have blown a fuse. If so, can you test the larger block
fuses?

Battery connections all good? Sometimes when battery voltage is lost, changing the battery or battery connections, as an example. Some modules may have to relearn or be reprogrammed. Losing battery voltage may have activated your security system? Sometimes I tell people to use a memory saver or whatever, so the modules don't lose voltage when changing battery or connections. The diagram is for starter motor, check the fuses if you want. Security lamp on dash, when you first turn on the key, the lamp should come on for a second or 2 then go out. If lamp goes out, the security system should be ok.
