Asked by Feb 22, 2014 at 01:09 PM about the 1985 Chevrolet El Camino Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently purchased a 1985 el Camino only to find someone changed the intake, timing
cover and harmonic balancer. I need to set the timing and ensure the spark plus wiring is
correct. the new intake has no firing order on it so I need some help

Look on the rear right hand side of engine (driver side, that's where it was for my '69) on the lip that bolts to tranny you will find casting numbers. write those down and look them up here. doesn't tell size but it should help find it.
