how to replace a speedometer cable in 1984 chevy elcamino

Unscrew or unclip the cable from the back of the instrument cluster. Pull the cable out of the housing. Unscrew the other end at the transmission. If the cable is broken pull the other end of the cable out of the housing. Insert the new cable through the housing and lube it with speedometer cable lube. Reconnect the housing at both ends.
