my alternator is good but its not charging my system like no charge what so ever

my old alternator was bad so i got a new one i put it on and nothing so i say to
my self ok they gave me a bad one so i brought it back up there they tested it
is was a good one so i was like ok ill go and look at the wiring i checked it all it
was all good idk what to do know it just makes no sense i need help

does the alternator light come on when you turn on the key? If not then that light has to work or the alternator will not activate.

theres no light so what should i do to fix that

Check the bulb, it might just be burned out.

no bulb is good just checked it

coul;d it be somthing with the fuse box

Yes that circuit is fused. I can't seem to find a good diagram of an 89 or I would send it to you.

Hopefully yes, if the ALT light turns on when you turn on the key then the alternator should start charging.
