maybe the IAC have your codes read at an auto parts store see if you have any codes you could try cleaning your TBI with some carb cleaner

Was rolling in 5th gear going 60, heard aloud screeching noise and it threw us forward in the seat and slowed it immediately to about 40.I pulled off to the side of the road and smoke was coming from under the truck.I looked around and couldn't see anything visibly wrong.I started it up again just fine and started rolling in 1st gear, then I tried to shift to 2nd the truck just stopped and wouldn't go into any gear.At this point the truck will start but when I let the clutch out, it dies(in neutral). Had to remove my drive shaft to be towed on towrope because it wouldn't roll smooth in neutral. When the engine is running now I don't feel any vibration through the gearshift anymore like how I used to before it broke down. What could it be? 3 Answers

I have a 1987 Chevy Pickup with a crate engine. I start it and it runs for about 15 -20 seconds and then shuts off. I have replace the air intake hoses, fuel lines, fuel filter.
