MY 1985 ford ranger starts up fine but will loose power and not go over 15mph once it warms up any ideas what it could be?

Check for a restricted exhaust system. The catalytic converter may be clogged or the exhaust system may be damaged. HTH. -Jim

possible gas filter is dirty or it needs a good tune up
