The truck will be running fine then loses power and
gets jumpy I replaced the inline fuel pump and in
tank pumps is there anything I'm missing besides
the filter to replace
Fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pump relay. You also need to make sure that the fuel tank switching valve is fully operational, those things are notorious for sticking, sometimes between tanks.
Check fuel pressure to make sure the issue is in fact fuel related
Ordered a new fuel pressure regulator replaced the relay once regulator comes in i hope this problem is solved. Can't use but a little of the gas peddle. It wants to act like it's not getting enough gas too much air
Let us know once everything is replaced.
I got fpr replaced new fuel filter and air filter and new ignition coil. It's still running the same.
Bummer man, now it gets a little difficult, have you ran a code test? If not that would be the next step.
I tried to get the parts store to do it and they couldn't get their machine to even get see it was conected to my truck
He's a DIY site. http://www.freeautomechanic.com/diagnostictroblecodes7.html
I got the codes. 51 22 53 54 31 67. Idk how to fix em
51 Engine coolant Temp sensor, so either the sensor is bad or there is a broken wire in the circuit. 22 Map sensor out of range, that is usually a bad sensor itself. 53 Throttle position sensor above max voltage, so the sensor ground is bad, a short to power,or a shorted sensor itself, 54 Intake air temp sensor, shows open circuit, so a break somewhere in that circuit also. 31 EGR valve position sensor below minimum voltage, so either the sensor is defective or it wore a hole in the egr valve internal plate. 67 Neutral safety switch is an open circuit or the A/C was on during the test. Hope this helps. I looks like you have some wiring troubles.
I'm gona change the computer with the spare I have. How do I clear the codes when u do
When you disconnect the computer it will clear the codes and put it back to factory settings.
I ordered the o2 sensor. Map sensor tps egr pressure sensor and temp sensor when they come in I'll see what the truck does
I replaced the sensors even swapped the computer still running like it was before losing power on hills and still lacking power on flat ground
Did you fix those open circuits?
I'll have to retest it this weekend to make sure they are. But after I replaced all that they didn't show up. My dad's driving it now so Saturday I'll be able to recheck it
Still showing all the codes as before with all new sensors
Pulled computer off to reset it too
Then your going to have to run an ohms check on the wiring for each sensor listed, and don't forget those grounds.
After the o2 sensor was replaced it is getting more power back finely. I'll still have to check everything tho
