can a frame that,s cracked be repaired and be able to pass inspection

the frame is cracked where the steering gear bolt,s to the frame when you turn the steering wheel the frame twists also moves the brush guard too 1989 ford f150 supercab xlt lariat 5.0 4x4

Yes frames can be repaired by welding

Ford has had this problem for quite a while, check with your local Ford dealer, they use to make a kit for this problem, but that was years ago, it had a plate that you put on the frame after it was welded up that was drilled for the steering box mounting bolts then you welded it onto the frame reinforcing the frame in that area.
