Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Idel  is a little high, but the issue is the miss under a load or acceleration while driving. rev it in park and it runs great.

Have you tuned it up? New distributor cap & rotor, new wires, and spark plugs (gapped to specs)? Sounds like an ignition problem. I'd start there first. HTH. -Jim

yea that was all done a few months ago.

With the high idle I'd suspect a vacuum leak. Check for that. Also, wait 'til dark and open your hood start your truck and look for arcing. This will be seen as blue flashes of light under the hood. Rev the engine a few times too. This may reveal the problem. If all is ok, next step is to run a compression test. HTH. - Jim
