WHAT TYPE OF TRANSMISSIONS CAN GO IN TO A 1988 FORD F150 XLT LARIOT 302 ENGINE/ 2 WD
HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING A USED AOD TRANSMISSION ....WHAT OTHER
TYPES OF FORD TRANSMISSIONS WILL FIT IN MY TRUCK?
THANK YOU FOR ANY ADVICE THAT MAY HELP,
The AOD should plentiful in salvage yards.
The M5R2 transmission was used in F-150's from 88 until 2003. Used in Broncos, F-150 and up.
The M5R2 is a manual transmission. The original poster is looking for an AOD which is an automatic. I suppose it is possible to do a conversion, but it might not be cost effective.
Thanks you guys...I will continue to look for the AOD!
