I have a 1984 f150 with shifting problems

Asked by Mar 05, 2015 at 09:49 AM about the 1984 Ford F-150 XLT Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1984 f150 with auto transmission that doesn't want to shift out of first till 30 mph.
Once it hits 30 it'll shift and then be ok. Any suggestions? Could it be a vacuum line?

Check the kick down cable or Throttle valve cable, comes out of the trans and attaches to the carb. Might have come loose.
