FUEL PUMP INSTALL

Asked by Jun 06, 2014 at 03:13 AM about the 1988 Mazda RX-7 2+2 SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The fuel pump was bad, so I proceeded to remove it from under the hatch in the rear of the car.   I removed the four screws and worked the pump free and out.

When installing the new pump, what procedures do I need to follow in order to make the repair successful, i.e. new gaskets, hoses, rubber boots, etc?

If any of the rubber is dried and cracked, I would replace.
