What would cause the upper radiator hose to collapse intermitently while engine is running?
I have a 350 gm crate motor in a 1931 ford. I am currently running with the engine hood off an noticed yesterday while driving that the upper radiator hose was collapsing intermittently while driving on freeway. Temp gage was steady at 180 degrees during the drive home.
You may have a defective radiator cap causing a vacuum in the system, or the hose you have is bad.
