my 1929 ford model a is bouncing more then usual on one side as i drive down the road how can i fix this
A wheel, tire is heavier on one side, try and figure out a way to balance it somehow. Another trick is to figure out the heavy side of the rim, and the heavy side of the tire, and mount them opposite of each other.
What type of shock absorbers do you have? If you have originals you might want to convert it to modern shocks.
If U are handy, and can weld, or know someone who can, MGA or MGB Armstrong rear shocks have the same mounting centers as the Model A Ford front. With that said a dog bone link ball needs to be welded in the shock arm hole and the Armstrong shock needs to be shimmed or the arm bent to properly align the shock Link. Many Ford folks who are into safety and no more bouncing around or replacing houdaille with tube shocks have done this mod and believe it works well. ( good damping action) The weld in Ball is available from many Model A Ford parts suppliers. Pick your favorite.
