solid axel swap

has eney one done a soid front axel swap on a 86-94 dakota would like to put 3/4 ton diffs in it .. kuz i have put a 440 under the hood.. and would like to go  play in the mud and rocks with out worrin about the wimpie diffs that are in it????

So what exactly is your question? A 440 will fit, but it will be very tight. I'm not sure if you're asking if the current setup will hold, or if you want to know what you need to do an SAS. You''ll probably have to put a different transmission in too. A 727 would work great behind a 440. Depending on what HP/torque the engine will be putting out, you might as well swap the entire drive train over, including the T-case.

yes you can,but it would be a hard job to swap out,to many unones.you can put longer stiffer coil springs heavy duty springes and heavy duty shocks under it.
