2014 Jeep Patriot cracked head possibly?

Our 2014 Jeep Patriot doesn't shift between gears well after idoling like at a
stop light. No engine light comes on and machanic shop said everything
seemed normal and shifted perfectly for them (of course).

Not sure what a cracked head has to do with the transmission unless you are talking about the mechanics head.
A cracked head will give similar symptoms as a blown head gasket. Overheating, coolant loss with no visible leakage, plumes of white billowing water condensation from the exhaust, coolant in the engine oil, and possibly misfiring. Severely retarded ignition or valve timing can cause late transmission shifting. But a cracked head has nothing to do with the transmission. Time to find another mechanic. Or better yet, visit a reputable transmission shop for a proper diagnosis. Hope that helps! Jim
We used the Bar's Leaks Block Seal Permanent Head Gasket Fix that you pour directly into the radiator. The jeep seems to be working almost perfectly. Not sure how the two are related, but our guess of a cracked head or gasket issue seems to be the problem that now as a (temporary) fix.
