Door ajar light comes on when driving

Asked by GuruGWYVR Aug 17, 2020 at 11:27 AM about the 2003 Ford Ranger 4 Dr Edge 4WD Extended Cab SB

Door ajar light comes on when driving. When I get
out of truck and shut the doo the dome light won't
go off. Spraying WD40 in the latch doesn't work.

03 Ranger i would think has the door open switch in the door opening covered by a little black rubber boot
