My 03 V6 Mustang will not start?

Asked by Aug 22, 2013 at 01:52 AM about the 2003 Ford Mustang Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The cars ignition feels really loose, and it doesn't seem to go into the on/start position.  We tried jump starting it with no success
the key fob will not unlock the doors or pop the trunk, but occasionally the radio will kick on and the windows will roll down.  I
would appreciate any help and am willing to provide more information.  There is no sound at all including the usual clicking sound
when you try to turn it over, it fells as if turning it over does nothing.

Sounds like a battery or battery cable issue. Only replace the ignition switch if it will not rotate and release properly. The cable has a habit of corroding over time and will not carry the current need to start/run. Before replace the ignition switch (as Tom said) make sure the battery and cables are in good shape.

Do your lights turn on.are they dim? The quickest way to rule out a bunch of possibilities is if you have AAA .call them say your battery or something is wrong.they will send out a battery truck and they have a machine that plugs in under steiring wheel.I t will check your complete system and tell you what's wrong.and its free.
