That's the mirror gasket. It's there to prevent rain water from getting behind the mirror assembly and into the door. HTH. -Jim

Thank you for that answer but is that the rubber triangle piece that is on the window itself?

That would be the rubber triangle that is sandwiched between the mirror assembly and the door. Is that what you're looking for? HTH. -Jim

Oh, ok. I understand now. That's a window filler "block". Sorry about that! HTH. -Jim

GM calls it a mirror cover (item#2 on the picture from gmpartsdirect.com). Driver's side part number is 20421899. Passenger's side part number is 20421898. Both, unfortunately have been discontinued by GM but having the part numbers may help you track them down. Click the picture for full screen. HTH. -Jim

You're welcome. Glad to help. These cars are gaining collector interest so you may be able to find a company who's reproducing them. HTH. -Jim

Oh, almost forgot. With the part numbers stop by your local Chevy Dealer's Parts Department. Ask them to search the GM Parts Locator. If any GM dealer has them, nationwide, or at least one, sitting in their parts department you can find them. HTH. -Jim
