I need to replace the black piece of rubberr behind mirror, what is it called? 1984 z28

I'm in the process of replacing window sweeps but also need to replace the rectangle like rubbering behind the mirrors what is this called?

That's the mirror gasket. It's there to prevent rain water from getting behind the mirror assembly and into the door. HTH. -Jim

That would be the rubber triangle that is sandwiched between the mirror assembly and the door. Is that what you're looking for? HTH. -Jim

GM calls it a mirror cover (item#2 on the picture from gmpartsdirect.com). Driver's side part number is 20421899. Passenger's side part number is 20421898. Both, unfortunately have been discontinued by GM but having the part numbers may help you track them down. Click the picture for full screen. HTH. -Jim

Oh, almost forgot. With the part numbers stop by your local Chevy Dealer's Parts Department. Ask them to search the GM Parts Locator. If any GM dealer has them, nationwide, or at least one, sitting in their parts department you can find them. HTH. -Jim
