Can you get 350+ hp out of a stock 305 in a 1987 Caprice Classic Brougham?
Yes but it will take a complete rebuilding, different heads, manifolds and if you want to get really crazy NOX injection.
Would it be better to find a 350 to fit in her and be done with it? This 305 has over 300,000 miles and still runs but is tired. I just want a little more 'GO' and not have to change the trans which is a 200r I do believe.
Yes that would be better, you could go a crate engine if your budget allows. the trannt should be a 700R4.
Not a fan of the ol 200r huh?:-)Smaller budget for me as of now but found a 350 and I heard it's a fairly easy swap. Just want a little more guts out of the old girl.
Yep, shouldn't be too bad.
