why do i always have water on the carpet in my trunk?

since the holidays the carpet in my trunk is always very
wet

Check the weather stripping and see if the trunk deck gutter is draining properly.

Do you notice any warning lights on or flashing? Have you had any recent repair work performed On this vehicle?
