Brake lights won’t come on

My brake lights won’t come on... what could be the
problem... it’s a 88 Cadillac fleetwood

If it is not the fuse for that circuit, then the switch under the dash is probably bad. It is usually mounted on the lower portion of the steering column and actuates when the brake pedal is depressed.
