Why doesnt car car go to 2nd gear if its not warmed up for a long time?

I have to turn on my car and leave it on at
least 10 minutes before driving it in the
mornings or when its been sitting there or
else it wont go into 2nd gear

Sounds like you need a transmission fluid and filter change. Fluid is forcing its way through the clogged filter.
