why is my wheels locking up when i drive in reverse
Which wheels, front or rear?
seems like rear
no it drives foward fine but wont let me go more than a few feet in reverse
When you 'back up' I take that to mean...... as opposed to "drive in reverse". Your '03 Focus has rear drum/shoe brakes and they are self adjusting, and if you have a habit of when you back up, out of your driveway of anywhere else and always turn the same direction. one rear wheel is traveling a further distance that the other everytime, the self~adjusting star wheel will over tighten the brakes on that side and when you drive on ahead, it will drag or be locked up entirely
something is really odd here...
How far do you want to go in reverse? More than a car length or 2?
Hey dude!! good to see you. Really, but at age 60 I have not learned anything since graduation what a dweeb. Suggesting borrowing money from a guy that will chop off a finger for every day you are late with a payment, then using that same guy as a reference.
"Well Mr. tenspeed starts up some really brilliantly ridiculous stuff, as usual, and I then shut down the entire conversation, and yes tenspeed I am referring to you pal, you are a funny man, the way to stop the madness is to tell the question asker just what they have to do to resolve their issue, sometimes it's really simple, like get off this site and take your broken car to a mechanic.. period." --- I said that I didn't know if it was a knock sensor or the throttle position sensor. I said that I thought the needles jumping might have something to do with the problem. You said at the time that you liked my thinking. Then you write this. FO Gary. You suck.
No, it's Gary. I posted the Airtec video because you seemed to be a fan of their proximity switch. I thought you might be interested. Obviously all you're are interested in is patting yourself on the back and putting people down. - Please tell us again how you said that you were the only real mechanic on this site. It seemed to have disappeared soon after you wrote it. Lots of things disappear after you write them.
