1992 Dodge Dakota - The speedometer has a loud ticking and the needle jumps 3-5 MPH. What do you think the problem is and how much to have a shop to fix it? Thank you!

just pullin your strings? tricky business this...alas the government wants to know if you've been in there tampering...with any luck the new cable will go spiffy-fresh and all will be circuses and peanuts and dancing bears for us to enjoy.
