2010 caliber, drop in power, fluctuating RPMs.
Car has 130k on it. There's been a drop in power, and the RPM gauge
jumps all over. I replace the air filter as it needed it. Replaced the spark
plugs, ran sea foam in the gas the clean injectors, carburetor, and just
fuel system in general. The only thing I haven't done is replace the coils.
Not sure what to do or where to go from here. Not sure if this plays into
it or not, but my transaxle temperature light comes which causes a drop
in power too when the transmission fluid gets too hot. I fit have the fluid
and filter changed, but it still happens.... It's more a nuisance than
anything, I just pull over till the light goes out then drive as normal; but I
wouldn't think that that would cause my RPMs to jump all over all the
time and sputter. Not sure what to do or where to go from here. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
