I have a 1987 Porsche 928 S4. It cranks, but, when put it gear, automatically cuts off. A porsche mechanic has had it a year trying to fix it and says it has to do with the original alarm system.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Porsche will start, but, when put in gear, cuts off. My Porsche mechanic says it has to do with the ORIGINAL alarm system and is doing it to stop it from being stolen. He has tried everything to bypass it, but nothing works. It will start, but then cut off. He has been working on it on and off for a year. What can we do?
