Where can I find a drivers side front sway bar bushing bracket for 1987 Ford Thunderbird?
My bushing bracket is broke and the only thing thing that i can ever find on line is the
bushing. I found the right part on FordPartsGiant.com's wed site but it is a discontinued
Have you tried a wrecking yard?
All the local wrecking yards either do not have any T-birds or they crush everything and will not sell parts.
Then get on the net and find a yard that is close to you and make a part request, they should get back to you via e mail with price. If no luck there you can try LKQ auto recyclers.
Thanks guess I hadn't thought of LKQ.
Just tried LKQ and they do not have anything like that in there inventory.
So your stuck with a local or Internet yard.
Or you could try building your own bracket.
The 87 is technically a classic (Over 25 yr old) but not of any special value yet. Consequently, not many yards would even consider keeping some around. Do you have any yards around you that let you pull your own parts or will let you look around in them? If so, you might consider looking for one on another model Ford that would match or with slight mods work in place of yours. Take a digital pic of yours to refrest your mind when you are looking.
