Can I take out the Tranfer case in a 1994Dokato & still drive until I can get fixed ?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Basically the tranfer case is making a noise & the mechanic
says its driveable but the noise is crazy loud ! Can I take it
out & drive till fixed

No because all the power goes through the transfer case.
