Did you check to see if the fuel pump is working when the key is turned on? You should be able to hear it.

Hello, im having the same issue, i can get mine to start if i put the key in the run position and plug in the battery. It will restart a few minutes later but when the anti theft light goes out it wont start.

have had our F150 5.4 XLT towed to a shop three times for the same reason.. F150 would not start.. Turn the key.. and it sounded strong.. like it should start.. good electric.. starter sounded great.. but wasnt getting any fuel.. would continue to try to start until the key was turned off.. **Thursday - First tow - it got to the shop and sat for 4 1/2 hrs before they went out to look at it.. started right up.. It then started up just fine over the next few hours.. drove it home.. **Friday - Second tow - went out the next day to go to work.. dead truck.. would try to start but same thing.. nothing from the engine.. towed back to the shop.. they came out immediately.. would not start for them.. they replaced the fuel modulator.. it started.. we drove it home thinking it was "fixed".. Did not use the truck for the weekend.. **Monday - Started fine - drove to work.. Got off work.. Dead truck.. SAME THING.. turn the key.. starter engaged.. but not the engine.. no fuel.. WTF **Monday night - third tow - towed to branch of the same shop.. **Tuesday - truck starts just fine.. all day.. no issues.. I'm thinking - I'm not crazy.. **Wednesday - truck starts just fine.. Go pick up truck.. Starts fine for the next week.. Literally.. One week.. Following **Wednesday - dead truck.. tries to start.. but nothing from the engine.. Read forums for possible answer.. Change out a $3.49 fuse.. (#27 - 2amp fuse) -- Success!! --
